Disney Desktop

Option 1

This is what I ended up doing. Works without a hitch and is stable.
Without removing or moving anything from the original install of Disney Desktop Themes
I made the following changes.

1st COPY all of the theme files (only the *.Theme) to C:\windows\resources\themes folder.
2nd Create a shortcut like this.
Target - C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes.exe
Start in - C:\Program Files\Plus!
Shortcut Key - None
Run - Normal window.
I altered the Mickey shortcut and used that icon.
Then delete all of the old shortcuts to avoid confusion.
Once you cycle thought the themes they are all available without using the others option.
Let me know what you think.

Option 2

Go to
Start > Programs > WaltDisney > Disney Themes > Then pick one of the Characters

IF it asks which program to open it with, browse and select the following:

C:\Program Files\PLUS!\Themes (this is the application file not the folder)

Tip: The head of the character is the active point of the cursor.

For easy access, especially if you accidentally choose the wrong program, do this:

Go to the PLUS! folder again

C:\Program Files\PLUS!\Themes (right click on the application file, not the folder)

Create a shortcut for Themes.exe

Drag the shortcut to the desktop and double click

When the Themes setup window opens, choose OTHER instead of current settings.
That should open of into the Themes folder (or navigate your way to
C:\Program Files\PLUS!\Themes)
and choose a character

STILL NO LUCK?

Go here again and set a desktop icon for Themes .exe
C:\Program Files\PLUS!\Themes (this is the application file not the folder)

Double click the desktop icon you created and then next to the top bar that says Themes:
Change it from Current Window Settings to Other

That will bring up a browsing diagram and you'll have to work your way back through the same path
C:\Program Files\PLUS!\Themes

Then choose a character folder and then a character

Then apply

You'll have to do this for each character but your path gets remembered after the first one.

This wasn't so difficult until Microsoft decided not to support third party themes in the XP OS.
However, once you get it set, it's easy and cute...
